His projects range from small offices of just a piece or two to large medical clinics of over 100 pieces of art that include original paintings, art reproductions and photographs.
He paints in a several styles from a graphic realist style to abstract and various combinations of those two styles. His projects are as turnkey as he can make them. He designs the installations utilizing the client’s floor plans and budgets, produces the original art, chooses and purchases reproductions and will shoot photographs to fit themes agreed upon with the client. When the artwork is finished, Phil also installs the work on location making sure that everything fits in the correct places. Recent projects have included multiple facilities in Maryland, Colorado, Arizona, and Tennessee.
Working from his basement studio in Eldersburg, Maryland he can be found most days painting, designing and creating a wide variety of landscapes. When out with his camera (usually in the very early morning) he can be found in places like Ricketts Glen State Park in Pennsylvania, various Maryland Parks such as Brookside Gardens in Wheaton, MD, Downtown Baltimore and the National Mall in DC, as well as anywhere along the Chesapeake Bay. Given the chance to travel, sunrises in The Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs, Colorado, the Grand Canyon and Monument Valley in Arizona rate among his favorite places to spend a morning.
In between larger projects, Phil takes individual commission requests and produces artwork for purchase.
